i know its the first day of summer but i just can't help myself! i love little jackets. i decided that i would purchase this one as a birthday gift to myself, i turned 22 (my lucky number!) on monday :)

i seem to be on quite the zara binge lately, but they have so much stuff i just love! i wish i had a store near my house, thank goodness for free shipping.

i purchased this jacket in a small and although the sleeves are a bit too long and slightly too wide the shoulders fit perfect and the body isn't too snug (i wanted to be able to wear sweaters under it when the weather gets cooler and still be able to zip it). the sleeves don't bother me because i always push up the sleeves on jackets like this so they're almost 3/4 sleeves. i think jackets look cuter on me that way (probably because i have short arms and long jacket sleeves tend to make them look even shorter).

loving this jacket! yay for adding a new staple piece to my jacket!

i'm unsure about these jeans. thats not true. i love these jeans. they're so pretty and unbelievably comfortable (plus i spent a whopping $3.66 on them - i had a giftcard&they were on sale!) i'm just not sure if i'll ever wear them! help! should i keep them or bring them back?

i'm not the biggest fan of colors -- scratch that -- i'm not the biggest fan of wearing colors. sure, some colors suit me, but i don't feel like me in them, so i tend to stick to blacks/whites/blues (and coral in the summer!). i feel like i'm branching out of my comfort zone and into a new comfort zone. neutrals.

i'm honestly swooning over everything neutral (and i love how they look on my skin tone!). i've been purchasing a lot of neutrals lately (can't wait to show you my lace shorts!) but these are my favorite thing so far!

HDR or not?

I can never choose whether I like my pictures in HDR or not. This is my arm swag/candy/party from the other day. The first picture is with, the second is without. Without keeps my skin true to color, with makes my jewelry look so pretty! Thoughts?

bad start

may isn't starting out how i planned. this morning i woke up... with no eyebrows. i know, i know, i know. i should be thankful that i even woke up this morning, but the vanity in me is screaming, crying, hyperventilating. my eyebrows are the size of a pencil line! i look like a clown! its honestly horrifying to look at myself in the mirror. you see i graduate from college this saturday, woohoo i made it! but i lost my eyebrows in the process. for the past three years i've been growing out my eyebrows, i LOVED them. seriously. loved. i was so happy with them! but the shape of one of them got just a little off, and when my eyebrows are thick its noticeable. when i lived in new jersey i used to just go get them threaded and everything would be cleaned up and fixed up. like bam, megan fox shaped eyebrows in under a minute. perfect. but that doesn't seem to exist in south carolina, so i let my eyebrows run free for three weeks and my best friend took me to get my eyebrows waxed where she gets hers done. i was thrilled! so excited! clean brows for graduation! and so the waxing started. i brought a picture. i said i just wanted the spare hairs cleaned up, a little evening out, you know? and the first wax came, and she let me look in the mirror.  yay! pretty clean brows! so she did the other side. no mirror. and then she said she was going to clean them up a little. you see one of my brows grows in square, the other rounded. i know that, they've always grown like that. i told her i just cut the tops down of the beginning of my brows slightly and poof! that problem is gone. but she took her tweezers and "cleaned up" the "spare hairs" the wax didn't get. yeah. right. the next time i looked in the mirror my eyebrows were GONE. i didn't tell her this was the worst my eyebrow have ever looked in my life (it is). i just left. and balled my eyes out in the car while my girlfriend apologized (so not her fault, love her to death for taking me to get an eyebrow pencil). and what's even better? the wax burnt me! so now i have no eyebrows and third degree burns. lets just say my graduation is no longer a day i want to remember, i'll be hiding from cameras all day. i've never drawn my eyebrows on before, heck, i've never even penciled them in. they just don't need it! i love them naturally. unfortunately the only way i have anything that can even be called an eyebrow is if i draw them on. its awful. i need some help. asap.

i gave y'all a little sneak peak of these shoes i ordered from zara, but i couldn't wait to show them to you in an outfit of the day. i was hoping to do one this weekend but i've come down with a fever and can't even manage to get out of my bed without feeling so dizzy i have to sit back down.

i am so in love! i've been searching for shoes with a single strap across the toes for a while! i don't have a zara anywhere near me but i remembered they have an online store and low and behold the perfect pair! these are a six and they fit perfect! now i'm on the hunt for an all black pair with a skinner strap across the toes. mango has a great pair but i don't have that anywhere near me either!

and, on my current wishlist:

perfection! and it doesn't hurt that it matches my shoes!

i scored this sweater at LOFT for $4.88 thanks to my best friend who dragged me out to buy one, i love the subtle sheer striping throughout and how it continues onto the lower arms but not the shoulder area. i always wear my initial pendant, my two favorite rings, stud earrings (and a hoop i never take out below my cartlidge) so my jewelry is rarely a surprise. add some jean shorts and my trusty bride sandals  (my favorite! sadly they're falling apart) and i was ready to spend my day with my family. they were visiting for the week and we walked the dogs and took bike rides and went to the air fair and ate huge breakfasts. can't wait for them to come back!
